Julien Auction House is presenting the 'Icons and Idols 2013: Rock n' Roll' auction featuring Elvis memorabilia. The auction is Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th, 2013.
Elvis' blue suede shoes from Memphis Mafia member Joe Esposito. The size 10 shoes have brogue details and gold grommets. Accompanied by a letter from Nudie's Rodeo Tailors requesting Elvis' sizes; a letter from Joe Esposito stating that Elvis gave the shoes to him after Presley returned from the Army in March 1960. This is the only known pair of Elvis' personally owned Blue suede shoes.
Elvis' Cadillac Fleetwood 1972 limousine outfitted with a plaque that reads “Custom made for Elvis Presley 70th Anniversary Edition.”
Elvis' coat he wore on the album “Elvis is Back." The tan corduroy jacket worn by Elvis has a Paramount Studios costume label that is hand numbered "F10216" and typed "E. Presley." Maker label reads "The Browser/ Trade Mark Reg./ by/ Sunset House/ of California." Additionally stamped on interior "Paramount Wardrobe." Button closure with tab closure at neck.
Elvis' personal gold “partner cross” commissioned by Presley in which he made the other for Priscilla.
Diamond ring mounted in 14k yellow gold gifted by Elvis Presley to bodyguard and friend Sam Thompson while at Graceland.
1954 handpainted cardboard poster advertising Elvis Presley performing in person at the Eagle's Nest Club on August 7, 1954. It is the earliest known Elvis concert poster. The Eagle's Nest was located just outside of Memphis on Highway 78, where this poster hung in the doorway. Presley performed 16 times at the Eagle's Nest in 1954. This poster was purchased from "the back room" of the Eagle's Nest by Elvis memorabilia expert Rosalind Cranor. The poster is signed in 1987 by Scotty Moore and DJ Fontana.
A 1953 Martin 00-21 guitar from early in Elvis Presley's career, gifted to his friends Jack and Marie Lord. Serial number 133248. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Joe Esposito explaining that Presley visited the Hawaii Five - 0 star at his Hawaii home and was shown Lord's vintage instrument collection. Presley invited the couple to come see him in Las Vegas. Presley instructed Esposito to return to Graceland before the couple arrived to retrieve a guitar and other personal items to gift to the Lords. Esposito states that this guitar is the instrument he collected from Graceland and that Presley gifted to the Lords in 1973. Additionally accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Jack Lord estate.
