Song-Writing Legend Mike Stoller Talks Elvis and Rock 'n' Roll Repertoire

Former Elvis Week guest and legendary song-writer Mike Stoller recently sat down with Voice of American to talk about the evolution of rock 'n' roll. Fans can watch this interview (above) by visiting VOANews.com.
Among many hits, the song-writing duo Mike Stoller and Jerry Leiber penned Elvis classics such as "Hound Dog" and "Jailhouse Rock." Elvis went on to record more than 20 of Leiber and Stoller's songs. Stoller describes how he and his life-long writing partner first began composing in an interview with Mike O'Sullivan from Voice of America.
"I'd be jamming at the piano and he'd be walking around shouting phrases out, anything that came into his head," said Stoller.
