Purchase the New Elvis Tee and Poster and Help Restore the USS Arizona Memorial
March 29, 2013
Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., Pacific Historic Parks and the National Park Service are teaming up again to help raise funding for the restoration of the USS Arizona Memorial. Elvis fans can now purchase the new Elvis t-shirt (available in men and women styles, just $19.95) and poster (just $15) by visiting PacificHistoricParks.org or by calling toll free at 1-888-485-1941. All proceeds will go towards education and restoration of the Memorial. (See pictures above).
Elvis has been a long-time advocate for the Memorial. Dedicated on Memorial Day 1962, the structure is one of the world's foremost architectural icons of remembrance and one that had special significance for Elvis. On March 25, 1961, at Pearl Harbor’s Bloch Arena, Presley performed a historic benefit concert that raised over $64,000 for the building of the Memorial.
Over the years, due to the natural exposure to weather, salt water spray and foot traffic of more than 50 million visitors, the Memorial is in need of an extensive restoration. The restoration project was designated as the spotlight non-profit for the Elvis Presley Fan Club President’s Event in Memphis during Elvis Week 2012. Fans also enjoyed special events and Elvis exhibits at the USS Arizona Memorial during the 40th Anniversary of “Aloha from Hawaii.”
Help restore the USS Arizona Memorial today by purchasing your own Elvis tee and poster at www.PacificHistoricParks.org.
