The documents were signed at the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse in Santa Monica, California to end the Presley's six year marriage. Superior Judge Laurence J. Rittenbrand granted the divorce.
The Times Newspaper reported the next day, "Elvis and Priscilla emerged from the courthouse arm in arm, and Presley gave his ex-wife a friendly kiss before driving off."
