New "60 Years of Elvis" VIP Exhibit Featured in Chicago Tribune's Travel Section
APRIL 16, 2014
As Graceland hits the road for the 2014 Media Tour, Elvis memorabilia is popping up in major publications around the United States. In a new article on the front page of the Chicago Tribune Travel section, Graceland's Director of Public Relations Kevin Kern discussed 60 Years of Rock 'n' Roll and our new VIP Exhibit "60 Years of Elvis."
In reference to Elvis' original Crown Electric pay stubs, the Chicago Tribune explores the King of Rock 'n' Roll before he capitulated into stardom. Kern also gives a little insight into what fans can expect from the new exhibit and how the city of Memphis is teaming up to celebrate 60 Years of Rock 'n' Roll.
"If you saw one blow across the sidewalk, you'd hardly take notice. But the two pieces of brown paper are payroll stubs, and when you realize their history, you can only smile."
