Linda Thompson is an accomplished actress and songwriter, and a former beauty pageant queen. Linda began songwriting in 1985 with country music entertainer, Kenny Rogers for his single "Our Perfect Song." Linda and former husband, David Foster co-wrote the lyrics to the The Bodyguard's theme song "I Have Nothing", which was performed by Whitney Houston. Linda became a regular on the TV series Hee Haw, from the years 1977-1992. Linda won the 1972 Miss Tennessee Pageant. Her other beauty pageant titles include: Miss Mid-South Fair, Miss Shelby County, Miss Liberty Bowl, and Miss Memphis State University.
Linda met Elvis Presley July 6, 1972 at the Memphian Theater. She went on to live at Graceland with Elvis as his girlfriend for four and a half years, from July 1972 to November 1976. Linda's brother, Sam Thompson worked security for Elvis.
