
Two of Elvis Presley's former Musicians, James Burton and DJ Fontna have been inducted into The Louisiana Hall of Fame! Burton and Fontana were inducted for their contribution to the rich history and heritage of music in the state of Louisiana.
James Burton is a World Famous American Guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member. Burton played with Elvis as part of The TCB Band from 1969 until Elvis' passing in 1977. Since the 1950s, he has recorded and performed with numerous notable entertainers, including Dale Hawkins, Ricky Nelson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Glen Campbell, John Denver, Emmylou Harris, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Vince Gill, and Suzi Quatro to name some of the big names.
DJ Fontana is a World Famous American Drummer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member. Fontana played with Elvis from October 1954 until 1968. Fontana was with Elvis for all Ed Sullivan and Dorsey Brothers TV shows. Fontana also joined Elvis' on stage for the 68' Special. Before Elvis DJ was he Louisiana Hayride's in-house drummer on its Saturday night radio broadcast.
