"Elvis Presley"
This image graced the rock 'n' roll record ever to top the Billboard Album Chart in 1956 and spent ten weeks on the charts with over a million copies sold. The photograph was taken by William "Red" Robertson and the design has inspired homage on covers including The Clash's "1979 London Calling" and Tom Waits' 1985 "Rain Dogs."
Working from a print from the original negative, Hypergallery has created a faithful reproduction of the iconic cover at move than twice the size of the original and printed with the art pigment and UV inks.
"50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong"
This cover was designed by Bob Jones and used a photo of Elvis wearing the famous gold lame suit designed by Nudie Cohn, who's famous "Nudie Suits" were his trademark.
Bob Jones commented,"Of the more than seventy combined LP and 45 covers I was responsible for, the only departure from the Parker formula was the '50,000,000 Elvis Fans' cover. This was the final RCA release prior to Elvis' return from the military service."
Hypergallery creates and publishes high quality, striking and valuable art print editions of classic album covers. The edition sizes vary from 25 up to 500 and obviously the smaller the edition-run is, the faster it sells out. Printed at larger-than-life size, these works make an impressive statement in your home or office and are a fantastic investment. Other classic covers published by Hypergallery include those from Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and many more.
