Graceland Becomes First National Historic Landmark to be Corporate Certified Arboretum
June 07, 2013

In celebration of Graceland opening to the public, Elvis Presley's Graceland is excited to announce the official partnership with theTennesee Urban Foresty Council and iArbor, making Graceland the first National Historic Landmark to be named a Corporate Certified Arboretum. Fans can learn more in our new video (above) and check out our new photo spotlight!

Graceland is currently home to over 20 types of trees which now have certified plaques labeling their common name, scientific name, and family tree. Elvis fans from around the world can now enjoy this new addition to the king's home. For a business to become a certified arboretum, the business must be open to the public, the trees must be properly labeled for educational purposes and they must be properly protected and maintained.

iArbor assisted Elvis Presley Enterprises with the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council (TUFC) to help secure the designation for the king's home in Memphis, TN. President of the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council Karla Kean, along with representatives from the iArbor division helped present Graceland officials with the State of Tennessee's certification on June 7, 2013 - the 31st anniversary of Graceland opening to the public.
