While Elvis lived in Tupelo as a young boy, he would spend time with his friends at Mud Creek in east Tupelo. Mud Creek was a popular swimming hole as they were called back in the day.
Soon, Elvis fans can take a closer look at Mud Creek from an observation deck. This new attraction will become the eleventh marker on the Elvis Presley Driving Tour.
The deck is located on the "Music Bend Nature Trail" located across the street from Veterans Park in Tupelo. The observation deck will officially open June 6. A sign will be unveiled on that day marking the new tourist site.
