Travel site Expedia recently featured Memphis as a place where music lovers can feel "the rhythm of rock 'n' roll." Expedia's Trip Styler blogger Trish Friesen shares her experience, calling the city "a place that changed the future of the United States - even the world - with a tenacious tune."
"Memphis makes you feel. It’s impossible to walk down the historic streets, chit-chat with locals or visit its famed music venues without sensing something," writes Friesen. "Elvis’ pad housed a 'je ne sais quois' that kept me enthralled."
Among many stops during her visit, she stopped in for some tasty Memphis barbecue and visits the legendary Sun Studio. She then shares in detail her experience inside the king's home and tours the Rock 'n' Soul Museum, wrapping up her musical journey with a little local flavor on the famous Beale Street.
