As Elvis fans make their way home and Elvis Week 2013 officially wraps for another year, Elvis Week Blogger Jon Waterhouse gives a complete recap of the week's events in a photo/audio slideshow (above).
Through out the week, Jon met many Elvis fans from different walks of life. He captured these once-in-a-lifetime moments all while forming new friendships and celebrating Elvis' life and legacy. The week kicked off with the "Salute to Memphis Music Concert" with local artists showcasing the blues, rock and many origins of music right here in the Bluff City. Later in the week, hundreds of fans packed the Stax Records' studio where Elvis recorded for the "Elvis at Stax Listening Party." The center-point of the celebration was the Candlelight Vigil where thousands of fans made the rock 'n' roll pilgrimage to the gates of Graceland and honored the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Fans can also see several photos of the many events that took place here at Graceland on the Elvis Week Main Stage.
