APRIL 02, 2014

In a new exhibit making headlines, Elvis is "American Cool" and the National Potrait Gallery in Washington D.C. has created an entire gallery featuring Americans who embody the "cool" factor, featuring the king himself.

The "American Cool" exhibit is currently on display at the National Portrait Gallery, in Washington, D.C. until September 7, 2014. Included in the exhibit are the likes of jazz musicians such as Miles Davis and Billie Holiday, actors such as James Dean and Johnny Depp, and singers like the king.

According to the National Portrait Gallery website, "Cool carries a social charge of rebellious self-expression, charisma, edge and mystery."
