One of Elvis Presley's favorite ways to relax was to go horseback-riding. He loved horses so much that he had several of them at Graceland and even purchased horses for members of the Memphis Mafia so that they could accompany him on rides. Although free time was very scarce Elvis tried to make the most of what little he had available to him - time when he could forget about being "Elvis The Entertainer" and instead nurture his dream of being "Elvis The Cowboy".
In 1967 this dream came a little closer when he purchased a ranch in Horn Lake, Mississippi which he renamed Circle G Ranch. Here he was able to really live the life of a cowboy - going for long rides, having barbecues, generally relaxing and unwinding.
Although the Circle G Ranch is currently in a terrible state of disrepair we have big plans for the ranch and you can find out more about them, and more about the ranch itself, by visiting our website, www.circlegfoundation.co.uk.
Please don't forget to share this post with your friends so that they too can find out about the ranch.
