Elvis fans can get another glimpse inside famous photographer Alfred Wertheimer's rare collection of photos. Wertheimer is expected to release several of his never-before-seen photos in his new book, "Elvis & the Birth of Rock and Roll." Check out six of these "lost photos" in a new article on HollywoodReporter.com.
"The 2,500 photos Wertheimer captured rank among the most intimate and revealing portraits of the young star and form the basis for 'Elvis and the Birth of Rock and Roll,'" states the article.
Wertheimer recalls the story behind each photo, including one where Elvis stopped to look at a wall of autographed photos inside the Supreme Men's Shop.
"Elvis was looking at them as if to say, 'One day I too shall be on the wall of the Supreme Men's Shop,' " states Wertheimer.
